Herbst January 5, 1988 October 26, 2005 Funeral Services for Tyler Herbst, 17, of Bellville, were held Monday, Oct. 31 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bellville, Texas. His life was taken in a fatal car crash on Wednesday, Oct. 26. Fr. Tim Bucek performed the funeral mass with Fr. Ron Cloutier, Fr. Ed Kucera, Deacons Gerald Dupont and Jerome Losack, Sr. assisting. Visitation was Sunday at 6 p.m. with a vigil starting at 7 p.m. at Knesek Family Funeral Chapels. Burial was in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Tyler was born in Houston, Texas but lived in Sealy where he attended preschool through first grade. He and his family moved to Bellville in 1995. He was finishing his senior year at Bellville High School, and was planning to attend WYO Tech and pursue a career in customizing cars. Tyler was always so full of energy and life. He had a wonderful way of spreading that energy and love for life to everyone he came in contact with. One thing special about Tyler was his ability to be friends with a wide variety of people. Whenever he spoke to people, they would instantly light up, and a smile would quickly spread across their faces. Tyler especially enjoyed working at the Boys & Girls Club and attending Young Life. Tyler will be remembered as a beautiful, brilliant, energetic, fun-loving, happy, confident young man who loved his family and his friends. This was shown by the more than 900 people who attended his services. He will truly be missed. He is survived by his parents, Steve and Kathy Herbst, his sister, Tiffany, and many other relatives from MO that were all present for the services. Tissues from Tyler's body were donated to the Life Gift Organ Donation Center. The family is requesting that contributions in Tylerıs memory be made to The Boys and Girls Club of Bellville or Young Life. Funeral Services were under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapels. Posted by Joy Neely
