Funeral services for Evelyn Dorothy Knapek, 76, of Sealy were held Saturday, Sept. 3 at 1 p.m. from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek with the Rev. Bernard Snock officiating. Interment was at the St. Mary's Cemetery in Frydek. Pallbearers serving were Buddy Noack, Christopher Noack, Roger Stopelberg, Robert Moss, T.J. Verhay, Stevan Noack St., Steven Noack Jr and C. Mitchell Noack, Jr. Born in Ammansville, Texas, Evelyn was the daughter of John and O'Tilie (Dusek) Vanicek. She was raised in Ammansville and High Hill and attended Amansville Public Schools. The former Miss Evelyn Dorothy Vanicek married Mr. Clarence Knapek on November 22, 1952 with ceremony held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in High Hill. Evelyn worked for many years as a child care giver in Day Cares, as well as being a full time homemaker. She loved tending to her flower garden, Polka dancing, shopping and she loved burning candles. Evelyn Dorothy Knapek died Wednesday, August 31 in Sealy. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Clarence Knapek of Sealy; her daughters and sons-in-law; Theresa and Roger Stoppelberg of Paige, Texas; Cindy and Steven Noack of Sealy, Lisa and Clarence Noack of Sealy; Sisters: Gladys Poncik and husband Johnny of LaGrange, Mildred Marek of East Bernard, Agnes Jasek and husband Jerry also of East Bernard; grandchildren: Stacy Moss and her husband Robert, Shelly, Sandra and Suzanne Stoppelberg, Steven Noack, Jr., Christopher, Buddy and Lauren Noack and great-grandchildren; Seth and Shayne Moss. Preceded in death by his parents; John Vanicek and O'Tilie Dusek, her brothers; Allen, Johnny and Jerome Vanicek. Services under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapels.
