Funeral services for Elfrieda Kveton, 97, of Sealy were held Monday, December 5, at 11 a.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Interment was at Sealy Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Doug Paben, Jared Bonar, Robert Goerner, Billy Schaffner, Carl Sebesta and Vernon Ekarius. Honorary Pallbearers were Jay Luedecke, Steve Brasch, Earhart Hein and Mark Hill. Elfrieda Amalea Luedecke was born in Old Glory, Texas to parents Henry F. and Julia (Weber) Luedecke. She was Baptized on march 15, 1908 in the Evangelical Lutheran Ebeneser Gemeinde by Pastor F.A. Bracher in Old Glory and confirmed on October 28, 1923 in Nicolai Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cat Spring, Texas by Pastor M.J. Scaer and joined Sealy trinity Lutheran Church in 1928. She married Reese Kveton on November 14, 1928 at her home in Cat Spring with Rev. W. M. Schreiner performing the ceremony. Elfrieda was a lifetime homemaker. Mrs. Kveton was a member of the Ladies Aide at Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She loved to work in her garden and liked to crochet. She is survived by daughter Ruth Paben and husband Fred of Sealy, grandchildren Dawn McKeever, Darla Bonar and husband Jared, Douglas Reese Paben and great-ragndchildren, Sheri and Aaron Ramsey, Robyn, Coleby and Joshua McKeever, sister, Louella Schaer of Katy, and many relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Henry F. and Julia (Weber) Luedecke; husband, Reese Kveton; son, James Kveton; sisters, Leona Kretschner Helma Schaffner, Susie Skalak; and brothers, Edgar, Benton, Robert, Hilton and Franklin Luedecke. Services under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapel.
