Funeral services for Ethel C. Myracle, 83, of Sealy were held Wednesday, May 11 at 2 p.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Ethel Clara Spreen was born in Sealy to parents Fritz and Barbara (Krampitz) Spreen. She was raised in Sealy and graduated from Sealy High School in 1940 and attended Houston Beauty School. Ethel managed a beauty shop in Galena Park and Teague and also taught beauty school skills to prisoners in Palestine. She moved back to Sealy in 1991. The former Ethel Spreen married WilliamTroy Myracle on February 26, 1946 at Zion Lutheran Church in Pasadena. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy. Mrs. Myracle passed away on May 9, 2005 in Katy. Survivors include: her sisters -- Elfrieda Holtkamp of Sealy; Hilda Koy of Sealy; nieces and nephews: Larry and Barbara Koy of Sealy; John F. and Brenda M. Spreen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Glen Spreen of Newberry Park, Calif.; Gaylan and Linda Spreen of Katy; Michael Spreen of Houston; Marilyn Holkamp of Tomball; Marie and Ed Landry of Sealy; Loretta and Leo Dziadek of Seal; Margie and Wayne Ashorn of Sealy; and 18 great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Fritz and Bertha Spreen; husband William Troy Myracle; and brother Alfred Spreen. Services under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapel. Posted by Joy Neely
