Funeral services for Trenckmann Nelius, 81, of Bellville, were held on
Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005 from Coushatte Recreation Ranch Stage Room in
Bellville at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold Hanna officiating.
Burial was in the Coshatte Cemetery near Bellville. Serving as pallbearers
were sons and grandsons Fritz Nelius, Wayne Nelius, Howard Nelius, Brett
Nelius, Adrian Gutierrez and Craig Murphy.
Trenckmann Nelius was born in Coshatte to parents Fritz and Lena (Hintz)
Nelius. He was raised in the Coshatte area and attended Roach Prairie
School.
After serving his country in the United States Army during World War II,
Trenckmann returned to the Bellville area.
Mr. Nelius was an Austin County Constable for 20 years and then started
Coushatte Recreation Ranch and Trailer Park.
Trenckmann married Ms. Margie Watson on June 19, 1961 in Houston.
He was a member of the Coshatte Agriculture Society, Bellville VFW, the Good
Sams, and the Slow Poke Camp Club. Mr. Nelius was also a member of the
Bellville First United Methodist Church.
Trenckmann Nelius died on Monday, January 3, 2005 in Bellville.
Trenckmann is survived by his children, Gail Newman and husband Maurice of
Bellville, Margie Folsom and husband Randy of Dallas, Fritz Nelius and wife
Sandra of Kenney, Wayne Nelius of Fort Worth, and Howard Nelius and wife Pam
of Bellville; Grandchildren Andrea Murphy and husband Craig, Adrian
Gutierrez, Brett Nelius, Heather Crenan, Amy Crenan, Will Crenan, Savannah
Nelius, Jake Folsom, Alex and Aaron Blankenship; great grandchildren Cort,
Grant, and Abigail Murphy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fritz and Lena Nelius, wife Margie
Nelius, and brothers J.D. Nelius, Johnnie Nelius, Fritz Nelius, Wesley
Nelius, and Charley Nelius.
Funeral services were under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapels
of Bellville.
