Funeral Services for Ennis C. Nentwig, 86, of Sealy were held on Monday, March 28,2005 at 2 p.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Sealy with the Rev. John Tyler officiating. Interment was in the Sealy Cemetery in Sealy. Serving as pallbearers were Billy Browne, Leroy Hauerland, James Toman, Michael Ashorn, Brad Hauerland, and Leroy Zapalac. Honorary pallbearers were Leroy Ashorn, Tommy Taylor and Bubba Krampitz. Ennis was born in Sealy to parents Gus and Elsie (Stolterfoht) Nentwig. He was raised in Sealy. Ennis graduated from Sealy High School, Blinn Jr. College and Massey Business College in Houston. On Dec. 5,1941 Mr. Ennis Nentwig was joined in marriage to the former Miss Ethel Duran with a ceremony held in Houston. Ennis served his country during WWII in the United States Army. He owned The Quality Shop in Sealy for many years. He was a founding charter member of the Stephen F. Austin Golf Course, a member of American Legion Post 442 and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sealy. Ennis Nentwig died Thursday, March 24,2005 in Katy. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jeryl Finke of Houston; grandchildren, Scott Finke and wife Melissa of Houston and Robin Finke Jones and husband Blake of Houston. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Elsie Nentwig, wife, Ethel Nentwig and sister, Norma Nentwig.
