Ondruch Funeral Services for Walter Ondruch, Sr., 92, of Frydek were held Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek with Rev. Bernard Snock celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal. Interment was in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Frydek. Serving as pallbearers were Scott Machala, Roger Machala, Joey Krhnak, Jeffrey Ondruch, Jerry Allen Ondruch and Bennie Ondruch. Born in Frydek, Walter was the son of Joseph and Frances (Slavek) Ondruch. He grew up in Frydek and attended Frydek schools. On Oct. 6, 1937, Walter and the former Miss Viola Holub were married in Wharton. Walter farmed for many years and also worked for Sealy Meat Market and later worked for San Felipe Golf Course for 11 years. He enjoyed working in his garden, making homemade wine and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Walter was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and K.J.T. in Frydek. Walter Ondruch, Sr. died Sunday, July 10,2005 in Katy. He is survived by his wife Viola Ondruch of Frydek; daughter Valerie Machala and husband Henry of Stafford; sons Walter Ondruch, Jr. and wife Paula of Frydek, James Ondruch and wife Donna of Normangee, David Ondruch and wife Cathy of Frydek; daughter-in-law, Sandy Ondruch of Bellville, 17 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Frances Ondruch; son, Donald Ondruch; brothers, Fabin, Joe, Louis and Frank Ondruch and sister, Frances Krupala.
