Robinson Sarah Syble Higgins Robinson was born Oct. 2, 1931 in Stamford. The daughter of Jason Edward and Fannye Allene (Steddum) Higgins, she grew up and attended school in Kermitt. After graduating from high school, Syble earned her BA in English from East Texas State Teachers College. On Aug. 30, 1952, Syble was united in marriage with Bill Robinson in Kermitt. They made their home in Odessa where Syble taught eighth grade social studies. They lived in Sugar Land from 1974 until 1980, when they moved to Bellville where they have been members of the First Baptist Church. Syble taught fourth grade at O¹Bryant Elementary School until her retirement in 1990. She passed away Friday, Dec. 31, 2004 in Bellville at the age of 73. She is survived by her husband Bill Robinson; daughters Rebecca Wright and her husband, Tom, and Lisa Necker and her husband, Ed; granddaughter Emily Necker; several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Carolyn Suzanne Robinson, and brother, Tommy Higgins. Memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Bellville with the Rev. Harold Sellars officiating. In lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the charity of their choice. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home in Bellville.
