Funeral services for Charlene "Cha Cha" Schneider, 55, of Katy, (formerly of Sealy) were held Wednesday, January 23, 2005 at 11 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy with Rev. Octavio Muguerza celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal. the night before, a vigil and rosary were conducted at Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel by Deacon Jerome Losack. A beautiful tribute that included prayers and loving memories by family and friends. Pallbearers for the service were Adolph Kovasavic, Jr., Eddie Ibarra, Edmund Jurek, Chris Corder, Robert Lancon and Roger Crosswhite. Charlene Josephine Schneider went home with the angels on Saturday, February 19, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bellville, she grew up in Sealy and resided in Katy. She was the second child of Adelle and Johnnie Schneider. She attended the Catholic School, then Sealy High School where she graduated in the class of 1967 and later Blinne Jinior College. She moved to Houston with her friends to "make her fortune." After a few years with other companies, she began working for Shell Oil Company as an Accounting Executive where she retired in December 2003 after more than 31 years. She was a very caring and loving person and will be missed by many. She was more the head of the family than even her mom. We could always ask her advice or opinion, and she was always willing to help, giving her time and services. She was a great sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She is survived by her parents and by her sister and best friend Cindy and husband Rick Corder; brothers, John and wife Connie Schneider; Billy and wife Pm Schneider; and Joey and wife Robin Schneider; nieces and nephews, Chris and Cacey Corder, Shelley and Matthew adn wife Angel Schneider, Tracey Simonds and Brooke Schneider and one great-nephew Tyler Simonds. Charlene was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy and Epiphany of the Lord in Katy, Texas. She was a member of the Alter Society, and SPJST of Sealy.
