Funeral services for Bill Shaver, 73, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, of Richmond, TX, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 18, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Interment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation was held Sunday, April 17 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home. Bill was born February 13, 1932 in Grapeland to Bethley Shaver and Eva Murdoch Shaver. He passed away April 14 in Sugar Land. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sugar Land. Bill also was a member of the Lion's Club, Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce. He served on the Board of Directors of the Brazos Valley School Credit Union and the University Scholastic League. Bill was a member of the Texas Assoc. of School Administrators and Texas Association of School Superintendents. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bethley and Eva Shaver and his older brother, Maurice Shaver. Bill is survived by his adoring wife of 11 years, Alana Shaver of Richmond; Son: John Randolph Shaver and his wife, Janet; Daughter: Patricia Lynn Dillender and her husband, Glen, of Katy; Step Son: Robert Lee Quintanilla and wife, Andrea of Missouri City; Grandchildren: Jason, Denielle, Kelley, Jeffrey and Logan; Great Grandchildren: Jackson and Audrey Brothers: Bobby Wilson Shaver of Houston. Larry Gene Shaver of Nashville, TN; Sister: Margie LeGendre and her husband, James of Vidor; Also, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers were members of the 1963 State Championship Football team of Dulles High.
