Grave side Funeral Services for Florence Surovcak, 65, of Cat Spring, Texas, were held Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Sealy, with Deacon Jerome Losack officiating. A rosary was recited Monday, February 21, 2005 at 7 p.m. at Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Sealy. Born in Faulk, Arkansas, Florence was the daughter of Clyde Nichols and Betty Pette Durman Nichols. She was raised in Arkansas and attended school there. On December 28, 1958, Florence and Mr. Frankie Surovcak were married at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy. She was a full-time homemaker all her life. She loved to listen to music, play the organ and was always a big fan of her soap opera, "One Life To Live," which in her life was a true statement, for she lived each day to the fullest. She enjoyed taking walks with her walking partner, her German shepherd "Ginger." She was a loving person with a special side, which shined when you got to know her. Florence B. Surovcak died Saturday, February 19, 2005 in Columbus, Texas. Survived by her sons, Donnie Surovcak of Cat Spring, Frankie Surovcak Jr., and His wife Charlene, her daughter Jackie Kainer of Weimar, sister Ineva Lumus of Atlanta, Texas, brother Weldon Nichols of Texarkana, and grandchildren, Corey and Casey Kainer, Wil Markwood, Nicole, Christian, and Jonathan Surovcak. Preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Betty Nichols, husband Frankie Surovcak, grandchild Tiffany Surovcak, brothers J.W. and Jimmy Nichols, and her sisters Catherine and Christine.
