Funeral services for Bobby Lee Vail, 70, of Sealy, Texas were held Saturday,
March 26, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy with the Rev.
Bill Webb and the Rev. Doug Laws officiating. Interment was in the Cook
-Walden Forest Oak Cemetery in Austin, Texas. Pallbearers for the service
were Greg Wilson, John Adkins, Kevin Banks, Eric Silva, David Chapman and
Ben Vail, Mike Vail and Blake Wingate. Honorary pallbearers were Ennis
Nentwig, and Tommy Ryan.
Bobby Lee Vail was born November 23, 1934 to Ellsworth Vail and Elsie
(Stoltz) Vail in Olney, Illinois. He was raised in Olney and received his
education in Indiana and Illinois.  On August 29, 1965, Bob was joined in
marriage to the former Delma Banks with a ceremony held in Decatur,
Illinois. Bob serviced his country during the Vietnam Era in the United
States Army Quartermaster Corps attaining the rank of sergeant. Bob taught
accounting and Federal Tax at Sparks Business College in Shelbyville,
Illinois for 10 years. He later was employed by Atlantic Richfield and
Lyondell Petrochemical Co. for 30 years, attaining the office of Finance
Control Manager. 
He is survived by his wife, Delma of Sealy, Texas; daughters, Lori Willox
and husband David of Dallas, and Amy Vail of Austin; a son, Mark Vail and
wife Joella of Austin; and three grandchildren, Madison Willox, Victoria
Willox and Jackson Vail.
He is also survived by sisters Mariam Taylor of Norris City, Ilinois, Mary
Cooper of Valpariaiso, Indiana and Betty Merkel and Husband Harold of St.
Charles, Missouri; brothers, Glen Vail and wife Donna of Golconda, Illinois,
Pat Vail of Olney, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ellsworth and Elsie Vail, one brother
Kenneth Vail of Olney, Illinois, and sisters-in-law, Helen Vail and Orpha
Vail of Olney.
