Wunderlich
Funeral services for Elton Adolph Wunderlich, 91, of Warrenton will be held
at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2005, at St. John Lutheran Church in Warrenton
with Pastor Suzanne Guinn officiating. Interment will follow in the Florida
Chapel Cemetery near Round Top. Friends may call Koenig & Strickland after
noon on Saturday and where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.
Mr. Wunderlich was born Dec. 23, 1913, near Burtonthe son of Adolph and
Hulda (Muske) Wunderlich. Baptized and confirmed in Winedale, he married
Lucile Elaine Jaster on Sept. 26, 1937, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in
Round Top. A resident of the Warrenton area his entire life, he was a dairy
farmer and bee keeper for many years. He sold his brand of honey as the
³Cozy del Apiaries² brand in area stores. He was a member of St. John
Lutheran Church in Warrenton where he served as chairman of the church
council several times and sang in the choir.
Mr. Wunderlich passed away Friday morning, July 1, 2005, in a LaGrange
nursing home at the age of 91 years, 6 months and 8 days. He is preceded in
death by his parents, Adolph and Hulda (Muske) Wunderlich; (2) sisters,
Milda Ullrich and her husband Adam; Elsie Wunderlich; (2) brothers-in-law,
Edmund Jaster and Melvin Jaster.
Survivors include: wife of 69 years, Lucile Wunderlich of Warrenton; (4)
daughters, Janice Fridel and husband Louis of Wimberly; Carol Von Minden and
husband Weldon of LaGrange; Mary Schulze and husband Erland of LaGrange;
Deborah Pfeffer and husband DuWayne of Bellville; (1) son, James Wunderlich
and wife Ruth of Ellinger; (14) grandchildren, (9) great-grandchildren; (1)
brother, Melvin Wunderlich of Winedale; sister-in-law, Ellen Jaster of San
Marcos; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Bradley Von Minden, Jeff Schulze, Kevin Schulze, Darren
Pfeffer, Doug Pfeffer, Dustin Pfeffer, Greg Fridel, Patrick Wunderlich,
Christopher Wunderlich, Chris del Hierro, David Gardner, Larry Wyant, Ken
Stohr, John Snowden.
