Darla Elayne Cavender Bollinger, 58, passed away peacefully at her home in Katy, TX, in her sleep Monday, October 23, 2006 after a lifelong battle with chronic pain and illness. She was born on February 6, 1948. Darla was a loving mother and grandmother, who loved the Lord and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a woman of many talents with a very giving heart. She would have given anything for her family. Throughout her life, she wore many ³hats²: mother, daughter, beautician, florist, interior decorator, cake decorator, china painter, and school bus driver to name a few. But her most treasured job was being a ³Gran² as her grandchildren so lovingly called her. She touched each of their lives in a very special way. She fought her pain daily to do everything she could do to spend as much time with them as she could. They were the reason for living. She is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence ³Eddie² Cavender of Katy, TX. She is survived by her mother, Martha ³Inez² Cavender; 2 sisters, Edlynn McCarty and Debbie HArris; 4 children, Clint Bollinger and wife, Kimberly, Tanya Wilson and husband, Ron, Heather Pedregon and husband, Aaron and Kymbra Owen and husband, Oscar, III and wife, Scarlett, Kimberly, David, and Savannah Owen. We all love and miss you, Mom/Gran. A viewing was held Wednesday, October 25 from 6-8 p.m. and a memorial service of her life was held Thursday, October 26 at 10:00 am at the Knesek Bros.
