Funeral services for Eva Nell Lux, 66, of Sealy were held Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006 at 10 a.m. from Knesek Bros. Highway 36 Chapel in Sealy, with the Rev. Bill Webb officiating. Entombment was at Haven of Rest Mausoleum in Sealy. Pallbearers serving were Adolph Kovasovic, Jr., Jeff Vesely, Dennis Kocich, Gene Wittenburg, Lawrence Siska, Delmer Tipp and Edward Orsak. Honorary pallbearers serving were Tommy Brune, Billy Klopsteck, Jimmy Klopsteck, Dr. Wilford Morris and Dr. Tsidro deLeon. Born in Sealy, Eva Nell was the daughter of Alvin Garling and Lucille (Henneke) Garling. She was raised in Bernardo and attended Bernardo Public Schools. The former Miss Eva Nell Garling married Eddie Ray Lux June 26, 1960, with ceremony held at First United Methodist Church in Sealy. Eva Nell was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sealy AARP, Sons of Herman and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sealy Volunteer Fire Department. Eva Nell Lux died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006 in a Houston hospital. She is survived by her husband Eddie Ray Lux of Sealy; her daughters Debbie Hamner and husband Frank of Sealy, Gail Brown and husband Ray of Sealy and four grandchildren; Stephanie and Michelle Hamner, and Lauren and Shannon Brown. Preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Lucille Garling.
