Funeral services for Zadie Reibenstein, 97, of Sealy, Texas were held Monday, March 6, 2006, at 2 p.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy with the Rev. Dale Leland officiating. Interment was at Sealy Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Abel, Scott Abel, Travis Abel, Robert Fojt, Howard McArdle and Ronnie Roberts. Zadie Zachas was born in Cat Spring to parents Charles and Annie Dorenbrock Zachas. She fell asleep in Jesus' arms on March 3, 2006 in Bellville. Reibenstein was raised in the Cleveland Community and attended Cleveland Public School. The former Zadie Zachas married Arno Reibenstein on July 8, 1925 in Bellville, Texas. She lived in Houston for 44 years before moving to Sealy in 1986. A longtime homemaker, Zadie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy; the Sons of Hermann; and Edelweise Lodge #4, Houston. She is survived by her sister: Lillie Bosse of Bellville; grandchildren Vernita Roberts and husband Ronald; Tammy McArdle and husband, Howard; Cindy Reibenstein; great grandchildren: Matthew Reibenstein, Ashley Reibenstein; and daughter-in -law Wanda Reibenstein of Houston; and Wanda Reibenstein of Canton, Texas. She was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Annie Zachas; husband, Arno Reibenstein; sons James Dean and Wilbert Reibenstein; brother, Lee Zachas; grand son Larry Reibenstein; great grandsons Ryan and Benjamin Reibenstein and grand-daughter-in-law Peggy Reibenstein.
