FRANCES CARLENE PENNINGTON WESSINGER

Funeral services for Frances (Pennington) Wessinger, 70, of Industry, were
held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at the Zaskoda Chapel in Industry
with the Rev. James Pennington officiating.
Interment followed in the Independence Cemetery in Independence. The family
received friends at the Zaskoda Chapel in Industry from 6-8 p.m. on Monday,
Aug. 21, 2006.
Frances Carlene (Pennington) Wessinger was born May 31, 1936, in Clay,
Texas, the daughter of O.P. and Mable (Coleman) Pennington.
She attended Snook schools and married Herman Louis Wessinger on July 23,
1955, in Brenham. She moved to Houston in 1959 where she enjoyed being a
homemaker, flower gardening and spending time with her family. She also
worked as a day care worker for several years.
She was baptized in the Baptist faith and attended Saint Markšs Lutheran
Church in Houston.
In 1994, she moved to Industry where she worked as assistant librarian of
the West End Library.
Mrs. Wessinger passed away Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, at her home after a brief
illness.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; sisters, Margie
Clayton and Louise Cozzy; brothers, Johnny Pennington, O.P. Pennington, Jr.,
Thomas (Mac) Pennington.
Survivors include: Daughters, Sheila Wessinger of Houston and Brenda
Tallerine and husband Charlie of Industry; grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph,
Jacob and Sarah Tallerine; sisters, Ruth Cozzy of Delmar, N.Y., twin sister,
Jean Franks and husband Homer, Jo-Lynn Turner, all of Caldwell; brothers,
William Dee Pennington of Industry, the Rev. James R. Pennington and wife
Theda of West New York, N.J., Jack Pennington and wife Lounell of Bowie,
Md.; Larry Pennington and wife Gloria of Caldwell; Sisters-in-law Ann
Skweres of Chappell Hill, Elizabeth Wessinger of Brenham and numerous nieces
and nephews.
Pallbearers: Tim Morrison, Patrick Morrison, Robert Chittick, Bimbo Franks,
Michael Pennington, Ronnie Sebesta.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Brazos Valley in Brenham or the West End
Library in Industry.
