Funeral Services for Doris Schaare, 66, of Sealy were held on Monday, April
16, 2007 at 2 p.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dale Leland
officiating. Interment was in Sealy Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were
Chip Reed, Phillip Kmiec, Justin Szymanski, Joshua Meith, Charles Essilifie
and Walter Cano.
Doris Ann Schaare was born to parents Emil and Frances (Ondruch) Krupala in
Sealy, Texas. Doris was raised in Sealy and graduated from Sealy High School
in 1960.
She was baptized in San Felipe at Evangelical Unity of Brethren Church on
July 23, 1944 by Pastor F.J. Kostohryz and confirmed by Pastor Kostohryz on
July 5, 1956. She became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church when she
married Leroy Schaare, Jr. on June 9, 1962.
Doris was a very active person, willing to volunteer when she was asked. She
always thought of the other person first and put herself last. She was a
member of Trinity Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid, the Altar Guild and
Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She volunteered regularly at the Good
Samaritan Shop and cleaned the Christian Food Pantry. Doris started the
Super Sport Label Collection in 1997 and was always helping the Preschool.
She demonstrated what the word "recycle" really meant.
Doris served as liaison in doing Lutheran World Relief projects with adults
and children. She was always doing for the children and the less fortunate,
dating back to offering transportation and serving as a teacher when her
children were young.
Doris Ann Schaare died April 12, 2007 in Sealy.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Leroy Schaare, Jr. of Sealy,
daughters, Patsy Romano and husband Mark of Sealy and Nancy Fullerton and
husband Sean of Round Rock, sons, Russell Schaare and wife Tina of Katy and
David Schaare and wife Kim of Kyle, brother, George Krupala and wife Barbara
of Houston, grandchildren, Nathan and Kayla Romano of Sealy, Christopher
Schaare of Katy, Benjamin Schaare of Kyle and Marcus and Erica Fullerton of
Round Rock, niece Karla Krupala of Brooklyn, N.Y.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Frances Krupala.
