Edna Short, 97, of Bellville, formerly of Port Lavaca, died May 28th, 2007.
She was born March 26, 19910 in Knox County, TX, to the late William tell
and Nettie Black Myers. Edna was a long time member of Alamo Heights Baptist
Church and she loved to make quilts.
Edna is survived by her son, Roy Martin, and wife Thelma of Washington;
sister, Beulah Nicholes of Wichita Falls; five grandchildren, 10
great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. Edna was at the
aunt to Terry and Linda Myers of Bellville and Sue and Ralph Pruitt of
Brenham.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Short, her parents, sister, Mae
Choning, brothers, Floyd Myers, Calvin Myers and Preston Myers.
Visitation was held May 30th at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Graveside
services were conducted May 31 at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Tim
Smith officiating.
