Funeral services for Jesse John Elshick, 61, of Bellville were held Friday,
Feb. 15, 2008 at 10 a.m. from Knesek Bros. Highway 36 Chapel in Sealy with
the Rev. Frank Lucas and Helen Linley officiating. Interment was at the San
Felipe Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Gauss, Zacharie Gauss, Norman
Schutte, C.P. Sterns, Francisco Nolazco and Daniel Hamilton.
Jesse John Elshick of Bellville passed away Feb. 11, 2008 at Bellville
General Hospital. He was born Jan. 13, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio. Jesse was
raised by his parents, Daniel and Ruth Elshick in Houston; he graduated from
Furr High School in 1964. Jessešs career included employment with Gowco and
Gowen, he was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association
Local 54 and he also worked as an engineer during the building of the South
Texas Nuclear Project. He also instructed college sheet metal classes.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Elshick of San Felipe, sister, Judy Gauss
of Sealy, daughter and son-in-law, Larry and Helen-Elshick Linley of Bay
City, Texas, son, Glen Elshick of Wichita Falls, Texas, grandchildren, Cody
Linley and Kristen Novosad of Bay City, Dustin Elshcick of Wichita Falls,
nieces and nephews, Terrie Brown of South Carolina, Christa Nolazco of
Rosenberg, James Gauss of Colorado and Zacharie Gauss of Katy.
Funeral Services were held under the direction of Knesek Bros. Funeral
Chapel in Sealy.
