Funeral Services for Doris Kveton, 85, of Sealy were held Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy with the Rev. Mark Anderson
officiating. Interment followed in the Lyons Cemetery in Bellville.
Serving as pallbearers were her nephews, Don Holt and Harold "Buddy" Lyons, Jr., grandson, Ben Jurek, great grandsons, James Sneed, Ben Epperly and Mike
Jurek. Honorary pallbearers were her granddaughter, Rachel Epperly and great great grandsons, Zabian Allen, Clayton Sneed and Charles Arriaga.
Doris was born the daughter of John and Dora Felps Lyons in Bellville. She was raised in Bellville and attended Bellville area schools.
On April 6, 1940 the former Miss Doris Lyons was joined in marriage to Mr. Forest Kveton. For many years, Doris worked as a waitress at restaurants in Sealy,
Richmond/Rosenberg and Houston. She was confirmed and a member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy. Doris was also a member of the Extension Education
Association. She was a very active person winning many Blue Ribbons and was the High Point winner for her needlepoint at the Austin County Fair.Doris was a
remarkable seamstress, sewing clothes for her children and sewing for many others in the Sealy Community. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, bingo, dancing and
spending time with the kids at Richmond State School where she volunteered as a foster grandparent for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Delores Cain and husband Jerry of Sealy and Rae Marie Kveton of Sealy, son, Alton "Bubba" Kveton of Sealy, sister,
Jean Holt of Stafford, brother, Harold Lyons and wife Gloria of N.M., grandchildren, Pam Epperly of Sealy, Peggy Jurek and husband Ben of Sealy and Candy Kveton
of Washington State, great grandchildren, James Sneed and wife Stephanie, Ben Epperly, Rachel Epperly, Mike Jurek, Demi Kveton, Ashley Kveton and Jason Kveton,
great great grandchildren, Zabian Allen, Clayton Sneed and Charles Arriaga, sister-in-law, Muriel Lyons of Bellville, brother-in-law, Edmund Bender of Livingston
and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dora Lyons, husband, Forest Kveton, brothers, Alfred and Earl Lyons, sister, Onie Bender and brother-in-law,
