Lucille was born on Feb. 14, 1927, in Shelby, to Willie and Edmunda (Simmank) Voelkel.
She attended school in Austin County.
Lucille moved to Minnesota in 1949. She retired from Control Data in 1982. Lucille was an award-winning gardener.
Her hand-made quilts will continue to warm her children and grandchildren long after she is gone.
Lucille is survived by: her husband Glenmore “Glen”, of Clearwater; children, Nadine Brown, William Brown,
Milton Bloom, Keith Bloom, Colleen Pettersen, Wesley Bloom; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Herbert Brown, daughter Eileen Osmonson, sister Alice Mae Meischen, and brother Ernest Voelkel. Posted by Joy Neely
