Delton Loesch was born on April 8, 1936, in Kenney, the son of Theo and Minnie Winklemann Loesch.
He grew up and attended schools in Kenney and Bellville.
He served his country in the United States Army Infantry from 1959 to 1960 and received marksmanship awards.
Delton was honorably discharged in 1960, but remained in the National Guard until 1964.
He was employed with Texas Department of Transportation as an inspector, retiring after 33 years. For several
years, he owned and operated Delís Drive-In and, later, Oasis Club.
A Lutheran by faith, Delton was united in marriage to Reva Kenter on June 22, 1958, in Bellville.
He and Reva made their home in Bellville and were active members of the St. John Lutheran Church. He served in the
Menís Choir for many years under the direction of Amy Mikeska and he also participated on the Usher Team.
Delton was a deeply caring grandfather whose grandchildren, Chelsey and Jenna, were most important to him and a
huge part of his life. He loved and enjoyed being with them. Later he enjoyed watching them participate in their activities.
He also enjoyed playing dominoes, cards, basketball, baseball, annual turkey shoots, barbecuing and going
Delton was an avid hunter and thoroughly enjoyed his trips to the deer lease with his buddies.
Delton passed away on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, in Bellville at the age of 73.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 51 years: Reva Kenter Loesch of Bellville, daughter, Lori Lewellen of
Bellville, granddaughters Chelsey and Jenna Lewellen, both of Bellville.
He is also survived by his sisters: Dolores Ford and her husband, Jerry, and Gladys Ueckert and her husband,
Henry, all of Bellville, brother J.D. Loesch and his wife, Ruby of Hempstead and numberous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kristin Loesch, mother-in-law, Eva Kenter, father-in-law,
Leslie Kenter and sister, Adele Rayburn.
The funeral service was at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009 with Pastor Jennie Jones and Pastor David Henske
Interment was at Pilgrimís Rest Cemetery.
