Brenda Robertson sunrise: Dec. 23, 1962.
Brenda was born Dec. 23, 1962 to Mr. James and Johnnie Mae Tuner Leaks. She attended Bellville School in Austin
County and graduated from Bellville High School in 1981.
Brenda confessed her belief in Christ and was baptized at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, under the
leadership of Reverend A. B. Bennett, later under the leadership of Pastor Jessie Turner where she was a faithful choir member.
Brenda was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Kenneth Robertson and to this blessed union one child was born.
Before Brenda health begins to fail she worked at the nursing home and at Brookshire Brothers. Ms. Brenda loved to cook for her family and friends with good old
home cooked meals. She had a smile for every one she met. She never met a stranger.
Brenda was call home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday June, 3, 2009 after fighting a great
battle with her illness.
She is preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents, one infant daughter, Chasity Leaks and one
sister, La Toyia Leaks.
Brenda leaves to cherish her loving memories: her loving and caring children, Mychael and Mykai Robertson, her
devoted parents, Mr. and Mrs. James L Leaks Jr., three wonderful brothers, Edward (Carolyn) Leaks, Darrell (Flossie) Leaks both of Bellville and
Michael (Loretha) Leaks of Prairie View. Four caring and concerned sisters, Doris White, Sharon Leaks, Regina (Robert) Gillum of Bellville
and Beverly Jones of Austin, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of relatives and friends.
Active Pallbearers were Donald Nunn, Kevin Bonner, James Bellville, Donnell Washington, Chad Sutton, and R. B.
Mills Jr. Honorary Pallbearers were Mychael Robertson, Edward Leaks, James Leaks, Jr., Clifton Leaks, Darrell Leaks, Roberto Turner, Michael Leaks, and Robert
Funeral Services were held at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Chappell Hill, with the Rev. Jessie Turner,
Interment followed at Buckhorn Cemetery/
