Elvis was born Oct. 30, 1915 near Bleiblerville in Austin County to Joe and Emilie Liska.

On Oct. 21, 1939 she married Frank Sebesta at the Rosenberg Brethren Church by the late Rev. Henry Beseda, Sr.  Oct. 21, 1989 was a very special occasion.

Elvis and Frank celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.  It was special in that Rev. Henry Beseda, Jr. performed the renewing of their wedding vows.

Arthur Sebesta was present as best man, Adeline Sorrells as matron of honor and Ethel Sebesta  Mikeska attended as witness. All three were in the 1939 wedding ceremony.

Elvis was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Elvis loved the outdoors. She enjoyed working in their spring and fall vegetable gardens and flower beds. Elvis loved to cook and her homemade chicken noodle soup and chicken fried steak baked in the oven were outstanding.

She also had excellent recipes for canning and baking.  Homemade sauerkraut, pickles, onions, apple strudel and cheese kolaches were some of her best.

Elvis was a member of the Rosenberg Brethren Church, Sunday School and Christian Sisters. She, along with Frank, were members of the church choir.

Elvis was a resident at the Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation in Richmond and on Sunday, Nov. 1, along with her family, celebrated her 94th birthday.
