Sadie Paine Sillavan, 93, of Columbus passed away on Sept. 21, 2009. She was born on May 3, 1916 in Raccoon Bend,
Texas to Robert Glover Paine and Mary Woodley. She passed away at Hearthstone at Rivershire in Conroes.
She was married to Hollis M. Sillavan on Dec. 8, 1936. Sadie lived in Columbus for 50 years and was a member of
the First Baptist Church in Columbus. She was also a member of Eastern Star, Home Demonstration, Ladies Circle at the Baptist Church.
Sadie is survived by her daughter Linda S. Lipperdt and husband Wayne of Columbus, sons Royce R. “Randy”
Sillavan and wife Marjorie of Trinity, and Russell Paine Sillavan and wife Diane of Sealy; daughter-in-law Allyne Sillavan of Bellville; sisters Hattie Paine
Mitchell of Newport News, Va., and Dorothy Paine Knight of Houston; sister-in-law Heather Paine of Raccoon Bend; and dear friend Sadie Moore of Columbus.
She is also survived by grandchildren: Rick Sillavan and wife Brenda of Angleton, Ron Sillavan and wife Connie of
League City, Mike Sillavan and wife Stephanie of Angleton, Susan Sillavan and fiance Shane Forbes of Rosenberg, Sharon Halliburton and husband John of Houston,
Sandy Szako and husband Ralph of Bellville, Rebecca Janish of Katy, Rusty Sillavan of Pattison, Jeffery Lipperdt and wife Melissa of Eagle Lake, Elizabeth
Lipperdt of Columbus, Glenn Lipperdt and wife Tracy of Keller, and Terri Birdwell and Misty Halpain, as well as 24 great grandchildren and 2 great-great
Sadie Paine Sillavan was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Glover Paine and Mary Woodley; husband, Hollis
M. Sillavan; son, Robert W. “Bob” Sillavan and wife Laverne; and brothers, Robert Paine and Ray Paine.
Pallbearers were Ronald Sillavan, Mike Sillavan, Rusty Sillavan, Jeffery Lipperdt, Glenn Lipperdt, and Tom
Honorary pallbearer was Rick Sillavan.
Funeral services were at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment was in Oak Knoll Cemetery in Bellville with Pastor Victor Morrison officiating.
