Beginning her journey on Jan. 21, 1962, Sharon Faye Sims was born to Reverend Irell Fisher and the late Helen Fisher. Sharon grew up in Bellville and attended Bellville Independent School District.

She joined Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bellvilleand later faithfully attended Louisville Baptist Church under that leadership of Reverend Lincoln Williams.

Sharon is preceded in death by her mother Helen Fisher, one brother Irell Fisher Jr., one sister Rose Marie Fisher, a grandmother Daisy Fisher, a grandfather Elijah Fisher and a special Aunt Hattie Mae Stevenson.

On Aug. 1, 2009, Mrs. Sims departed this life for her heavenly home.

She leaves to cherish great memories, her devoted and loving husband Leon Sims of Bellville; two sons Christopher Fisher and Cortney Legan both of Bellville; three sisters Lorine Harmon of Hempstead; Shuntale Everline and Charde Fisher both of Bellville; four brothers Robert Barley and Vincent Fisher both of Kansas; Curtis Fisher and Jeremy Fisher both of Bellville. Five aunts, one uncle, a host of nieces, nephews , great nieces and nephews, one great great nieces, family, friends, and a loving church family whom she loved and they loved her also.

Funeral services for Sharon Faye Sims were Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009; at 1 p.m. Services were held at Louisville Baptist Church in Bellville with the Rev. Lincoln Williams officiating. 

Active pallbearers were Clyde Turner, Joston Carter, Antoine Legan; Walter Reese, Roy Waller, and Jerry Jackson. Honorary Pallbearers were Robert Barley, Vincent Fisher, Curtis Fisher, Jeremy Fisher, Brian McDade, Dimitrick Harmon, Cortney Leagan, Chris Fisher, Thomas Kirby, Willis Fisher, Terrell Fisher, Chris Fisher Jr., and Marlon Fisher.

Interment followed at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Bellville.
