Alicia Tiemann, age 95, of Kenney passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2008.
Mrs. Tiemann was born Oct. 27,1913 in Brenham to Frank and Mayme (Beaumier) Jankowiak.
She graduated from Brenham High School. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem.
On Aug. 24,1963 she married August Tiemann.
Mrs. Tiemann was a homemaker and worked with her husband in the Kenney Store, until it was sold in
1987 after the death of her husband.
She volunteered at the Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Center in Brenham and the Colonial Belle Nursing
Home in Bellville, until she became a resident of Colonial Belle in 1998.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Barbara Schroeder and two brothers.
Survivors include: her stepdaughters and husbands, Ann and Ernest Schmid of Conroe, Betty and Will
Meischen of Cypress, Jeanette and M.H. Shepherd of Gatesville; 7 grandchildren and spouses, Mark and Sheryl Schmid of The Woodlands, Lisa Lambreck of Conroe,
Russell and Landy Schmid of Shenandoah, Scott and Nita Meischen of Cypress, Blake and Angie Meischen of Cypress, Lori and Doug Brown of Pearland, and Marshall and
Rhonda Shepherd of Pasadena; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Lillie Ahrens and Esther Mikeska of Brenham.
Viewing began at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008 in Brenham Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jill

Wehdem Rd, Brenham, TX 77833.
Services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel.
