Funeral services for Johnnie Mae Williams 58 of Brenham, Texas, was held on Saturday Feb. 14, 2009
at the Mt. Rose Missionary Baptist Church located at 204 Kerr street in Brenham, Texas at 11 a.m.
Burial followed in the H.I.C. Cemetery.
Johnnie Mae Williams passed on Feb. 5, 2009 at her residence.
A baby girl was born to Verline Davis Hearld and to the late David Hearld Sr. in Guy, Texas on
April 2, 1950. They named her Johnnie Mae.
Johnnie Mae grew up in Washington County and attended school at West End, Alton, Pickard High, and
she graduated from Brenham High School in Brenham.
Johnnie Mae married John Douglas Rogers in 1967. To that marriage one child was born, and they
named her Andrea.
Later she married Winzell (Rico) Williams on Aug. 15, 1973 where that union was blessed with three
children; Tiffany, Wanda, and Leon. Johnnie Mae greatly adored and cherished all four of her children.
She is preceded in death by her husband Winzell Williams, her father David Hearld Sr., her
step-father Sherman Ray, her sister Joyce Maria Hearld, and her grandson P.F.C. Larry Isaiah Guyton.
She leaves to cherish her memories; mother Verline Davis Ray, three daughters Tiffany (Mike)
Williams, Wanda (Maceo) Williams, and Andrea (Samuel) McDonald, one son; Leon (Katrina) Williams all of Brenham, Two step children; Cynthia (Silvera) Williams and
Winzell Williams both of Brenham, one brother David (Marcia) Hearld Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, two Aunts; Bernice Figgs of Houston and Eddie Lee Buster of Elgin,
eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and family.
She also leaves her memories to cherish a special friend Brenda Bloom of Kenney.
Arrangements are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Home.
