Funeral Services for Joyce Macat Zapalac, 63, of Bellville were held Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009 at 10
a.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Michael Groseclose, officiating.
Interment followed in National Cemetery in Nelsonville. Serving as pallbearers were Kenneth
“Spotty” Macat, Jr., Frankie Macat, Delvin Siptak, Donald Jean Siptak, Richard Saxon and Sam Heritage. Honorary Pallbearers were William Tyler Pfeffer and
Gary Luetge, Jr.
Joyce was born Oct. 6, 1945 in Houston to parents Ernest and Elsie (Siptak) Macat. She was raised
and attended schools in Bellville.
Joyce was a member of Nelsonville Brethren Church. She loved movies, going out to eat, animals,
horseback riding, music, family and friends, being outdoors and having a good time. Joyce was employed by Vincik’s Building Supply.
Joyce passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009 in Bellville.
Joyce is survived by her daughters, Kim Schmidt of Sealy, Tracy Zapalac of Brenham, son, Billy
Pfeffer and wife, Lori of Bellville, best friend and companion Donald Paulson of Bellville, grandchildren, Ginger Luetge, Gary Luetge, Jr., Gabrielle Luetge,
Krystal Otey, William Tyler Pfeffer, and Giana Zapalac Gonzalez, great grandchildren, Ashton Hairell and Athyn Garza, sister-in-law, Edna Macat of Oak Hill.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Delmo Siptak, Sidney Macat and Kenneth Macat,
