Memorial services to celebrate the life of Victor Daniel Balusek, 81, are at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Christian City Fellowship Church 5243 Highway 36 North, Sealy.

Victor was born October 30, 1928 in Placedo, Texas to Fannie Julia Dusek and Frank F. Balusek. He was the youngest of five children. He graduated from Eagle Lake High School May of 1946. He worked at Spalinger Hardware in Eagle Lake before joining the U.S. Army where he served his country.

On May 18, 1968, he was united in marriage to Dolores Brast. They made their home in Sealy, Texas and members of the Christian City Fellowship Church.

Victor was first employed with Schindler Brothers Steel and later he worked for W.A. Virnauís and Sons Inc. where he retired. Completed his honey-doís around the house and decided to seek employment again. He then went to work as a shipping clerk for Stigall Sales.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Roland and Ted.

Survivors are wife Dolores, son and daughter-in-law Vincent and Lori Balusek, daughter Valerie Balusek. Grandchildren Josh, Lexi, and Kamryn of Sealy. Sisters Lydia Jochetz of Bedford, Texas, and Henrietta Lockwood of Katy, Texas, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
