Harry A. Brisco, Sr. passed from this life on Nov. 17, 2010. He went to be with his Lord and Savior and
reunite with family that had gone before him. Harry was born in Sheridan, Texas on the family ranch on May 2, 1920.
Harry was veteran of World War II, serving in Burma, India with the Air Force as an airplane mechanic. Upon his
return from duty, Harry married the love of his life Grace Kiefer and brought her to Texas, where they remained happily married until her death. Harry worked for
Shell Oil for 37 years and was a lifelong rancher. Harry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His generosity and kindness are known
by many, and will be remembered for years to come. He was a great example to his family – teaching values, a hard work ethic and a generous spirit.
Harry was preceded in death by his loving wife Grace, daughter Beverly, son-in-law Reginald Pope, and three
brothers, James Isam Brisco, Jr., Zane Brisco and Clarence Reginald Brisco. Harry is survived by his two remaining children: daughter, Bonita Pope; son, Harry A.
Brisco, Jr. and wife Karen; grandchildren, Amanda Pope, Justin Brisco and wife Ellen, and Rebecca Velasquez and husband Armando. He is also survived by great
grandchildren, Elizabeth and Martha Brisco and Elyssa Martin. In addition the family would like to express their thanks to Peggy Behne, caregiver.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus with Sherrill
Spears and Bill Edwards officiating. Interment followed in Myrtle Cemetery with Military Honors by United States Air Force in Sheridan.
