Cleo Edward Buechmann departed into the gates of heaven, Thursday, Sep. 30, 2010
Born Jan. 12, 1933 in New Ulm to parents Edmund Sr. and Rosa Ashorn Buechmann.
Cleo was baptized at St. John Lutheran, April 9, 1933 and also confirmed there.
Survived by daughters Debbie Frank, husband Wilbert (Bubba), New Ulm, Carrie
Gower, husband Darrell, New Caney, Diane Cook, husband Allen, Katy, and Amy Klussmann, husband Corey, Brenham. Sons Chris Buechmann, wife Dorothy, New Caney,
Chuck Buechmann, wife Trisha, Brenham. Grandchildren Kley Brokmeyer, Cody Brokmeyer, Christi Cegelski, Jason Frank, Mindy Chesson, Misty Swagger, Courtney
Arrington, Lacy Kimball, Melanie Wait, Shannon Roberts, Anthony Cook, Taylor Buechmann, Krista Buechmann, Cordel Klussmann, Connor Klussmann, Caleb Klussmann,
Chloe Buechmann, Kimber Buechmann and Cade Buechmann along with numerous great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents Edmund Sr. and Rosa Buechmann, brothers, Edmund
Buechmann, Jr. and Eldie Buechmann, sisters, Oda Buechmann, Lorina Schubert and his wife, Jewel Heiman Buechmann.
Aug. 5, 1953, Cleo entered the United States Army and was honorably discharged on
June 7, 1955. He then went to work in the oil industry. Cleo’s true love was always the outdoors working with cattle, hunting and fishing, He also loved
spending time with his friends and family. He established CE Cattle Company and raised registered Texas Longhorns. He also worked as a security guard for
the Falls Country Club, New Ulm.
Pallbearers were Kley Brokmeyer, Cody Brokmeyer, Larry Chernoch, Charlie Krueger,
Darrell Krueger and Gary Krueger. Honorary Pallbearers where grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, St. John Lutheran Church, New
Ulm with burial in the New Ulm Cemetery.
