Mrs. Georgia Lucille Campbell passed from this life Thursday afternoon, March 25, 2010, in Bellville.
Born April 16, 1929 in Boling, Texas, Mrs. Campbell had been a resident of Bellville since 2001, previously a
longtime resident of Dickinson.
She had worked for many years as a waitress at various area restaurants, including Jimmy Walker’s, Sportsman’s
and Mike’s Rendezvous.
When she was not working, she could most likely be found in her garden or fishing at Andy’s Bait Camp in
She was known as a very hard working lady with a green thumb and will be missed by many.
Preceded in death by her parents, Ocee and Bertha Stansberry; husband, John J. “Jack” Campbell; eight
siblings; and her son-in-law, David Remmert, her survivors include her daughters and their husbands, Linda and Gary Moore of College Station, Dorothy Remmert of
Bellville, Anette and Jim Shelby of Friendswood; grandchildren, David Moore, Cherie Hayes, Jordan Parrack, Leah Parrack; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Rebekah,
Matthew, Mitchell, Kaci, Landon and Maverick.
Funeral services was conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2010, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, Pastor John
Newton officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 2 p.m.
