Melvin Carver, 58, of Bellville, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 in
Graveside services were held on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. from Oak
Knoll Cemetery, Bellville with Rev. Jason Mays, officiating. Entombment was in Oak Knoll Mausoleum.
Pallbearers were Billy Kaliszewski, Gary Carver, Russell Tacker, Jason Mays,
Dustin Slater and Cameron Slater.
Visitation was held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 from
Knesek Bros Funeral Chapel.
Melvin was born on Dec. 28, 1951 to Earl and Dorothy (Mosmeyer) Carver in
Houston. He was employed as a machinist with Big 3. Melvin enjoyed fishing, hunting, the Beatles, football and was an avid Cowboy fan. He took great pride in
being a self taught artist, guitarist and had the “gift of gab.”
Melvin is survived by his sisters Nancy Slater, Judy Kaliszewski and husband,
Bill and brother, Gary Carver, all of Bellville, nieces and nephews, Penny Tacker and husband, Russell, Stacey Mays and husband, Jason, Dustin Slater and wife,
Ashley and Cameron Slater. Great nieces and nephews, Solomon, Ethan, Blake, Hadleigh and Isabelle. He will be remembered by special people, Jeanny, Diane,
Theresa, Caleb, Jordan, Toby and Rickey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and baby sister, Joanne.
