Funeral services for Geraldine Corbell, 84, of Bellville were held Monday,
Sept. 27, 2010 from First Baptist Church of Bellville with the Rev. Steve Olsen officiating. Graveside Services were held at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in
Pallbearers were Ronnie Marshall, David Turnage, Lee Persky, Floyd Merten, Mark
Sill and John Miles.
Geraldine Corbell was born in Houston to parents Jake and Edna (Gollnisch) Jousan.
She was raised in Houston and graduated from John H. Reagan High School and
attended the University of Houston.
The former Miss Geraldine Jousan was joined in marriage to Mr. Hershell Corball
in 1961 with a ceremony held in Houston.
Geraldine worked in accounting for Humble Oil retiring after 30 years. While
working at Humble Oil, she was active in the United Way. Geraldine was a very devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Bellville and was also a generous
supporter of many charities in her community.
Geraldine Corbell passed away Sept. 23, 2010 in Brenham.
Geraldine is survived by her sisters, Joyce Miles of Houston and Barbara Boulten
and husband Sam of Maydelle, nieces and nephews, Diane, John, Craig, Ronald, Vikki and Benjamin along with other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Edna Jousan, her husband,
Hershell Corbell and sister, Carolyn Fay Jousan.
Services were under the direction of Knesek Bros Funeral Chapel, 842 East
