Jones G. Finke concluded his long and constructive life here on earth on March 23, 2010 at the age of 93.
He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Edna, his daughter Joyce Park, his son Jeryl Finke and wife Linda,
grand children Shari Cleveland, Brenda Elliott, Scott Finke and wife Melissa and Robin Jones and husband Blake, great grandchildren Paul Cleveland, Mary
Beth Krampitz and husband Mark, Sarah and Emma Elliott, great-great grandchildren Jones and Annabelle Krampitz, sister Mabel Seeker and sister-in-law Lora
He was born Valentine’s Day, 1917 to parents John and Mary Herrmann Finke in the Prairie Hill community near
He resided in Houston for 12 years in his earlier adult life and then became a fifty year resident of Sealy.
His true entrepreneurial spirit and extremely dedicated work ethic allowed him to continually seek out ways to
make things better, both in his successful trucking and highway construction businesses, as well as in his personal life.
Funeral service at Trinity Lutheran Church, 402 Atchison in Sealy, at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 27 with the Rev.
David Vandercook officiating, followed by interment at the Sealy Cemetery.
