Edward O. Himly, Sr. 91, of Sealy, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010 in Brookshire.
He was born on Jan. 3, 1919 to Alex and Adelia (Beckmann) Himly in Sealy.
He was the owner and operator of Himly Produce for many years servicing Austin County. After retirement Edward
enjoyed playing dominoes.
He married Winifred Wendt on June 12, 1940 in Bellville and celebrated 69 years of marriage last year.
He is survived by his wife Winifred of Sealy; daughter; Lois A. Davila and husband, Tony of Sealy; sons David J.
Himly of Sealy, and Edward O Himly, Jr. and his wife Paula of Houston. Grandchildren Theresa and Raymond Klotz, Lisa and Victor Rodriguez, Anthony and Kristie
Davila, Tamara and Lance Johnson, Danielle and Matt Poff, Wess and Sherille Beard, and Erica and Tyler McBride. Great grandchildren Madison and Mason Klotz,
Marissa Fisher and Preston Rodriguez, Jordyn and Ashlyn Davila, Darren Lizotte, Dylan and Dawson Johnson, Nikolas and Hailea Poff, Patric and Bryan Beard, Taylor,
Melina, and Alana McBride.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Ardona Balke.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the Knesek Bros Fourth Street Chapel. Funeral Services
were held on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from the Knesek Bros Fourth Street Chapel with Rev. Dottie Dumas, officiating. Burial was in the Sealy Cemetery, Sealy.
Pallbearers were Anthony Davila, Raymond Klotz, Victor Rodriguez, Lance Johnson, Matt Poff and Wess Beard.
Honorary Pallbearers were Charles Wendt, Sr., Darren Lizotte, and Leslie Wendt.
