Trason Don Maresh passed away Saturday, Jan. 16.
He was born in Austin on March 1, 1975. He was welcomed in the home of Donnie and Laurece Maresh with open
arms and lots of love.
Trason was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg.
He is preceded in death by brother, Joel Maresh; grandparents, Ben and Alida Maresh, Ervin and Bernita Luhn;
great-grandparents, Otto and Lydia Tegeler.
He leaves to be missed so dearly by parents, Donnie and Laurece Maresh; uncles and aunts Barry Maresh, Carol Sue
Juergens, Gene and Debbie Luhn; cousins, Mitch and Cricket Juergens, D’Wayne and Karen Juergens, Sanjay, Rexanne, Alyssa, and Katy Singh.
Trason attended pre-school at the First Baptist Church School and then attended and graduated from the
Brenham Public Schools.
He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, played Little League baseball, soccer, and little dribblers, a
participant in the Brenham Maifest, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Who’s Who of America, and a representative of Boy’s State of Texas.
Trason earned four letters, all district, all state, and all American in football. He was selected to be a player
in the Texas All-Star game in Ft. Worth. He was given a full scholarship to play football at Texas A&M University. Medical reasons would not allow him to
finish his dream to play for the Fightin’ Texas Aggies.
He graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Wildlife/Fisheries.
He was living and working in Austin.
Funeral services were held Wed. Jan., 20, 2010 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg in Brenham,
with Pastor Larry Beck; organist Beth Appel.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
The family accepted friends on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the church.
Pallbearers for the service were: Robert Aldrete, Hunter Goodwin, D’Wayne Juergens, Mitch Juergens, Ron Luhn,
Steven Mikeska, Ryan Rodenbeck, Sanjay Singh.
Honorary Pallbears were: His 1993 senior classmates of Brenham High School, the many friends he acquired at Texas
A&M, and all the friends he met along the way in his life.
Trason was a very friendly, easy going, fun loving guy and never forgot a friend.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg.
