Memorial services for Patricia Marik, 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 at Holy
Cross Catholic Church, Church St., East Bernard. A Rosary to precede the service.
Patricia (Pati) Lyons Marik, 78, of East Bernard, was born March 15, 1932 in
Hammond, Ind. to parents Joe and Marie Edwards Lyons.
Pati, a woman of enormous character had battled cancer for the past year.
Pati was retired as a special education teacher with a degree from the University
of Houston. She gave her life to a career in health care.
She was very active in the Holy Cross Catholic Church with many friends in ACTS,
member of Catholic Daughters in East Bernard and Red Hats Ladies Club of Wharton.
Pati died on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010 at her home in East Bernard.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gene Marik of East Bernard,
daughter, Celeste York of East Bernard, sons, J.P. Marik and wife Marie of East Bernard and Marshall A. Marik and wife Lois of Fairfield, Calif., grandchildren,
Scharlotte Bain and husband Travis, Brandon, Andre and Lance York, Brent and Amy Engstrom, Christina, Patrick and Marshall L. Marik and 6 great-grandchildren,
brothers, Terry Lyons and wife Rosmand of Houston and William Lyons and wife Sandy of Anaheim, Calif.
She was preceded in death by parents, Joe and Marie Lyons and daughter, Melinda
