Robert Donald Nesbit, 66, of Welcome, died Aug. 6, 2010 at
ChristusDubuis Hospital in Bryan.
The family received friends and relatives at Memorial Oaks
Chapel beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, with a memorial service following at 2 p.m. .
A celebration of life followed at the Welcome Store.
Robert was born on Nov. 8, 1943 in Deposit, N.Y. to George
Nesbit and Marion (Orth) Nesbit.
On Dec. 11, 1971 in Afton, N.Y., he was married to Andrea Davey.
He was a carpenter by trade and always had a project in the
works, for himself or others.
Bob loved spending time with his family and treasured being with
his grandchildren and playing with them. Before his illness, he also loved hunting and spending time outdoors.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Andrea Nesbit of
Welcome, daughters and son-in-law, Alicia and Chad Eckermann of New Ulm, and Michele Nesbit of Scranton, Penn., and son, Michael Nesbit of Old Forge, N.Y. Also
survived by grandchildren, Andrea (Andie) Eckermann and Case Eckermann, sister-in-law Maria Nesbit of Cordova, Tenn., sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlene and
Robert Barron of Zebulon, N.C., and Cheryl Tiffany and Buddy Adcock of Dahlonega, Ga., as well as several nephews and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Richard
Nesbit.
