Florene Quinton was born to Jake and Mary (Kulow) Hintz on October 6, 1924 in Sealy. She passed away at the age of
85 on March 3, 2010 in Sealy.
Florene was raised in the Sealy area and was the oldest of five children. She attended school in Sealy and
graduated from Sealy High School in 1943. On September 14, 1945 she was united in marriage to Tommie Quinton Sr. in Sealy. She worked as a sales clerk at Ray’s
Pharmacy for some 30+ years. She also worked a short period of time at Eckerd Drugs and CVS Pharmacy.
Florene was of Methodist faith and had belonged to the Eastern Stars.
She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She took care of her aged parents up until the time of
The greatest love of her life was the birth of great-granddaughter (Adelyn) whom she simply loved and adored so
dearly. She was known to her as her “Doll Baby”.
She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends she had encountered during her journey on this earth.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Barbara Quinton of Sealy, two grandsons Steven and wife
Manda of Sealy and Scott Quinton also of Sealy, one great-granddaughter, Adelyn Quinton also of Sealy. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law,
Bessie and Irvin Koeppen of Sealy, brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Adelle Hintz also of Sealy, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and infant son, parents Jake and Mary Hintz and two brothers Harold and Eugene.
