Graduate of Bellville High and Sam Houston State with a BBA in buisness. Served his country with the US Air Force from 4-15-69 to 2-28-73 (SGT). Mike also served the town of Bellville thru the Bellville Booster Club, Optimist Club, and Little League Programs.Mike worked throughout the Bellville area, Hempsted, Sealy and some times in Orlando, FL. Mike was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma in October of 2009. An aggressive cancer that moved on him very quickly, Michael refused to give up and fought with everything he had. Michael’s children were with him to the very end and could not be more proud of the effort and struggle he gave for every last second. 

We can all hope and pray to pass on with as much courage and dignity as Michael Ernest Steck Sr.

Michael is survived by his brother Marvin Edward Steck Jr., son and daughter-in-law, Michael Jr. and Kerry Steck, daughter and son-in-law Maranda and Curtis Elsis, and grandchildren Ryan Michael Steck, and Morgan and Curtis Elsis Jr.
