Betsy Leigh Turchi, 51, of Streetman, passed away Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010 at ETMC Fairfield surrounded by her family
following a long bitter battle with breast cancer.
Betsy Turchi/Dr. Betsy Trenckmann, DVM, was born Jan. 28, 1959 in Houston to parents Ernst Henry and Marilyn
Betsy grew up in Bellville, and later graduated from high school there. She then attended and graduated from
Texas A&M University in 1981 with a BS degree in animal science. She then attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee/Knoxville College of
Veterinary Medicine in 1984 with her DVM degree.
She married the love of her life, Keith Turchi in 1984.
She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Mexia.
Dr. Betsy loved and cared for many animals and took pride in her treatment of them. She will be greatly missed by
her many friends, associates and a loving family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Keith; a son Ryan Turchi and a daughter, Jane Turchi, all of Streetman; one
sister, Cindy McNamara and husband Harold of Fulshear; one brother, Brooks Trenckmann and wife Eileen of Lavita, Colo.

Services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 from First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Tarbet, Christ Episcopal Church in Mexia, and the Rev. Ken Pruitt, First Baptist Church, Fairfield, officiating.
