Sheila Rose Burke-Fudge-Baker, age 62, was called to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 18, 2011,
while surrounded by her family in Bellville. Sheila was born in Chicago on the June 21, 1949.
Sheila married her high school sweetheart, Dennis Fudge. They had two children and enjoyed a 25-year
marriage until his death in 1995. Sheila remarried in 1997 to her loving and dedicated husband Rugby Baker.
Sheila will be welcomed into heaven by her parents William and Mary Burke, brothers Kenny and Jim
Burke, mother-in-law Ruth Baker and her first husband Dennis Fudge. She will be dearly missed as she is survived by her husband Rugby Baker of Bellville, her
daughter Denise Schroder and husband Wayne and their children Kenedi, Lillian and Max of Bellville; her son William (Doc) Fudge and fiance Kimberly Jennings
and daughter Elizabeth of Tomball. Sheila is also survived by her siblings William Burke, Tom Burke, Bob Burke and Mary Burke and numerous nieces and nephews
Sheila will be remembered for being an excellent wife, mother and grandmother. She was blessed with
the gift of encouragement and used that gift to edify all those God placed in her path. She was known as “Gommy” in Bellville and was thought of as a
grandma to many of the kids in her community.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the
Bellville United Methodist Church. Family friend and Pastor Arthur Morgan of Victory Family Fellowship of Brenham will officiate.
