Graveside services for Patricia Ann (Pepper) Barham, 71, of Flint, Texas, and a former resident of Somerville,
were 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville with Rev. Larry Embry officiating.
Interment followed. Visitation was from 2-7 p.m. Friday and resumed at 10 a.m. Saturday until noon at
Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville.
Mrs. Barham died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.
Patricia was born Aug. 29, 1939 in Junction City, La., the daughter of Alton and Lola Marie (Grafton) Pepper.
She was married at a very young age to Earnest Richard Barham, Jr. and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother,
She was very community minded, and proved that she was a very caring and loving person who showed her
generosity by helping everyone she was able. She owned and operated a Thift Shop and no one ever suffered through a winter without a coat, if Patricia knew
about it. She was always charitable to everyone and cared about others more than herself.
She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Somerville and was an active member of County Line Baptist
Church in Bullard until her health failed.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Liz
and Al Covey of Bullard; her sons and daughters-in-law, Earnest and Cheri Barham of Brenham, Kenneth and Kathy Barham of Brenham, and Robert and Cynthia
Barham of Flower Mound; a sister, Martha Jean Barham of Burton; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a special niece, Sonora; along with her best
and dearest friend, Valeria Schoppe of Somerville.
