Graveside Services for Mary Glenn Johnson, 89, of Conroe were held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 2 p.m. from Pilgrims
Rest Cemetery in Bellville.
Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Garrett, Joey Slama, J.L. Glenn, Jimmy Harden, Jeannie Kay Smith, Janice Santos
and Dave Smith.
Mary was born in Bellville to parents Joe and Cora (Acock) Slama. She was raised in Bellville and attended
Bellville area schools.
Mary was worked as a checker for a grocery store. Mary was a member of Faith Family Fellowship. She was a
charter member of Lakewood Church. Mary loved to read her Bible; she loved to entertain people and would often entertain many with her cooking.
Mary Johnson passed away on May 17, 2011 in The Woodlands, Texas.
Mary is survived by her two daughters, Betty Glenn and Ruth Glenn both of Conroe and numerous nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Cora Slama, husbands, Marvin Glenn and Carroll Johnson, brothers, Joe
and Herbert Slama, sisters, Helen Zander, Eva Norwood, Bessie Smith, Ruby Perry and Nan Evans and two infant daughters, Joyce Marie and Patsy Ruth.
