Billie Jean Koenig of Brenham entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March
4, 2011, at the age of 80.
Funeral Servicesn noon, Tuesday, March 8, 2011, West End Baptist Church,, 7577 Ernst Parkway,
Industry, TX 78944. Rev. Dennis Keen officiating.
Family received friends from 5-8 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2011, West End Baptist Church.
A private burial Tuesday.
Billie, a long-time member of West End Baptist Church, led an active Christian life and truly
treasured her 63 years of marriage to Harold Koenig.
Born in San Antonio, she graduated from Boling High School and married Harold in 1948 following his
service in the U.S. Army.
They have three loving daughters, Linda, Charlotte, and Susie.
Billie served as Director of the Women on Mission ministry at West End Baptist Church for ten years
and sang in the church choir. She was also a talented artist who loved the sight and sounds of nature.
Billie’s survivors include her husband Harold, her daughters Linda Dean Burke, Charlotte Jean Burke
and husband Jerry, Margaret Sue White and husband Mark. Billie was also survived by six grandchildren, Matthew Will Peschel and wife Jacqueline, Ginger
Christina Wayne and husband Carlos. Nolan Ryan Burke, Sarah Filla and husband Jeff, Jason Hannon and wife Sara, and Aaron Babin. Other survivors include
great-grandchildren Seth Wayne, Ian Wayne, Ellye and Max Filla and Zachary Peschel.
