Melissa “Lisa” Mailhiot, 58, of Bellville, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Bellville.
Lisa was born on March 9, 1953 in Houston to Edward and Virginia (Ward) Thielen. She moved around the
states with her late husband Chris, and was active in fund raising where she raised funds for the Bean’s Café in Alaska, a shelter for the homeless. She
was employed with Big Hats and Little Whispers and Buccaneer’s in Brenham.
Melissa is survived by her parents Edward and Ginger Thielen of Eagle River, Alaska. Three daughters;
Teresa Krupala and her husband Clifton of Bellville; Stephanie Grady of Dundalk, Md., and Shannon Massey and her husband Gary of Galloway, Ohio. One sister;
Deanna Dopslaf and her husband Eric of Albuquerque, N.M. Grandchildren; Jacob Sicola, Joshua Sicola, Johnathan Sicola, Adam Sicola, Caden Massey, Channing
Massey, one niece and three nephews.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Bellville, with
Rev. Steve Olsen officiating.
