Mr. Albert Pickin was born on October 8, 1925 in Minsthorpe, England to the late Mr. John and Mrs. Rebecca
Whitehall Pickin. He attended public school in Minsthorpe, England.
On November 8, 1943, Mr. Pickin enlisted into the Royal Navy. He served as an Able Seaman. After completing
his service in the military, he became a probation officer and a prison officer; he worked as a supervisor for the APA Trucking Company in New Jersey.
Mr. Pickin was married to his lovely bride, Mrs. Phyllis Mary Pickin for over 60 years. They were blessed
with a son, Christopher Pickin and a daughter, Joanna Pickin Aluotto.
Mr. Pickin lived life to its fullest; he loved spending quality time with his family and his dog Snoopy,
reading, traveling, taking pictures, storytelling (he was an incredible story teller), feeding birds and gardening. He also loved his job of at
least 15 years at Faith West Academy, the staff and especially the precious children. He was also a marvelous historian with a grand memory for facts
Mr. Pickin is preceded in death by both parents, eight brothers and three sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Mrs. Phyllis Mary Pickin, son, Christopher Pickin, daughter,
Joanna Aluotto, grandchildren, Krista, Alyn, Nicholas, Paul, Ian and Evan, great grandchildren Noah, Christopher, Jacquelyn, Tristan, Katie, Bailey.
